Sponsorship Opportunity

Next year I’d like to attend the very successful and high profile Cybermummy Conference. Cybermummy is the number one conference for British parent bloggers – last year speakers included journalist India Knight and Mumsnet’s Justine Roberts.  The event was written about in many, many parenting blogs, covered in the Financial Times, and featured on Woman’s Hour on Radio 4.

I’d love to attend to represent Business Plus Baby and you. Continue reading “Sponsorship Opportunity”

Global Entrepreneurship Week: Lots of Free Business Events

I’m slightly embarrassed to admit that I’d not heard of Global Entrepreneurship Week until Adriana Lokman of ESUDA suggested I got to her Women’s Networking Event on 17th November in Luton (full details below).

I wish I’d heard of it sooner! The very top of the Global Entrepreneurship Week website says

It’s time kids could say “When I grow up I want to be an Entrepreneur”

And that really does sum it up. It’s about removing barriers so that people have the skills and confidence to be enterprising. Fabulous!

Global Entrepreneurship week runs from 15th to 21st November, but there are loads of free business events running from right now.

It’s best to check out the Global Entrepreneurship Week website for what’s going on in your area, but I wanted to mention a couple of events in particular..

I’ll be going to the Free Networking Event for Women from 9.30 to 12.30 on 17th November at the Jubilee Centre in Luton, with a free creche. Speakers will be talking about becoming wealthy, networking, the benefits of joining a Chamber of Commerce, getting finance for your business and how business and social enterprises can work together. Places are still available but creche places are going fast so book soon.

If you’re going, make sure you pop over and say hello!

Plus Create are running a free Build Your Own Business Workshop at City College  Brighton and Hove from 2pm to 6pm on 17th November. (Create  enables you to get your business website up and running quickly and easily from £2.99 a month.)

Enjoy!

The Cambridge Business Mums Conference

If you live in the East of England don’t miss the Cambridge Business Mums Conference on 12 February 2011. Conference organiser Alison Pinney says…

If you are a mum in business and can’t get enough of networking, then start off 2011 on the right track by attending Cambridge’s first ever Business Mums Conference.  Open to ALL mums in business, wherever they live, this promises to be a fantastic day of networking for all delegates.

Being organised by Alison Pinney and Helen Mortlock of Mums Business Club (Cambridge) this Conference is packed full with a programme of inspirational speakers and seminars and a deliciously appetizing 4-course lunch, all for a very low price of £20!!

As an added extra we are putting on mini pampering treatments (small extra charge for these) which will be available throughout the day.

Our headline speaker is Emma Wimhurst who will be giving a very motivational seminar and will be available to sell and sign copies of her book Boom!

Robert Jerram of Linen at Home and Giant Potential will be our Chair for the day and will also be running a workshop.

A raffle will be drawn at the end of the day with proceeds being split between Cancer and Multiple Sclerosis charities.

Ticket prices are £20 until 1st December 2010 when they will be rising to £30 so get those tickets quick at a ridiculously low price.
