Thanks Maggy. I noticed that many mums I talk to have fingers in several pies but don’t necessarily plan it out as a business strategy. I think it just seems a natural way of doing things for many of us.

Funny! I never thought to give this a name.. I just thought of it as “having lots of ideas”! But do like the idea of ordering your “ideas” by fast/ quick in order to help balance some income! Also allows you to go for that “dream idea that may never work out”, whilst the others provide the cash! Good post!!

Fantastic to hear that this approach works for you, Sam. I hadn’t thought of using different streams to cover seasonal variations, thanks for that. I also like to have fingers in several pies and I’m looking forward to doing so!

It is so true! I have three different streams, and a dream, and hopefully the three streams pay the bills until the dream manifests.

I find having streams, although you do need to be focussed, gives you the confidence, kind of like a spread bet, and allows for peaks, troughs and seasonal variation.

And I love having fingers in pies!
